FEATURED LAYOUT OF THE DAY!

Yay!!!! I am so shocked and excited. I just logged onto the Two Peas website for some inspiration while I scrap, and saw the a layout I posted last week is the featured layout of the day and is in the top 10 of most viewed items in the gallery!! This has seriously made my day! =) I am totally doing the happy dance right now (the hubs even did the happy dance with me-although he has no clue why). Here is the link:

Whew! Okay - my heart is starting to return to a normal rhythm. I have been home with sick kiddos (3 outta 4 so far) with the flu. Poor M had it for 4 days with a high fever and throwing up and a "headache" in her eyes. The day she began feeling better, #2 got it! So, I have been scrapping since my house is clean and everyone is resting. I get a little stir crazy when i can't get out though, so this was a nice surprise to my day. It is also a beautiful sunny day - and that always lifts my spirits. Hope everyone's Sunday is going as pleasant as mine. =)

Yay!! Tournament Champs!!

Congrats to my hubby and his volleyball team for winning the tournament last night. This is their fifth win in the league, I think it's time they are bumped up to the "A" league (hint, hint). ;) Here are a few highlights. . .

and his nephew - "G"

That's how we spent our evening. Well that, and two of the girls were in a fashion show. I was a bad mom and forgot the camera. =( We spent the afternoon at my mom's because we were going to watch the movie "Dan in real life" and she didn't want to be at her house alone because the cable man was coming. . .hey - those cable guys can be scary, don't make fun! Well - we got a late start (because we were also playing around with her new magic bullet making coffee shakes! MMMMM!), so I got caught up in the movie and then realized we were due for the fashion show in 10 minutes. So, needless to say, I didn't have time to run home to get the camera. My little M did fantastic, but Z opted out at the last minute. So not like her, because she wasn't even supposed to be in the show and ASKED to be in it. She picked out her own outfit and pranced around the store in it with no worries as to who was looking, but when they wanted her to stand in front and have her pic taken she ran to me crying! Ah well - she tried.
Tonight we have a sitter and go out with the Hindles. Looking forward to yummy eats and great company. Then tomorrow we have our last upwards basketball game. We're having people over tomorrow night for games, and then Sunday is mother in law's bday - so we will go to church with her and lunch too. Busy weekend! I'm glad because it will go fast and the sooner Spring will be here! Yay!
What's going on here today:

1. Bought one of these today -

from here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5428533
2. Thinking about getting my hair cut
3. M lost her first tooth this morning! Our tradition is mommy takes the kiddos for a shake whenever they lose a tooth (it's fun to try to fit the straw where the hole is!)
4. Clean my house
5. Upload and edit photos for scrap project working on
6. More P90X - tonight is Yoga (1 1/2 hours - UGH!) Completed Slim-n-6, and now the hubs has me doing P90X-super intense with one hour working on one part of your body with 16 minute ab routine. Not very fun, but the results are worth it!
7. Night out!

My latest scrap project:

this is the one I tried to upload the other day. . .here are a few samples of what I have done so far. . .

Have you ever seen the fly?

Fly #1

Fly #2

Hehe - can ya tell we were a little bored today? Today was semi-productive. Any day that I tackle some laundry AND get it put away is productive. =) I even had fun little projects for the girl's school today (Horton hears a Who fun stuff). Any time a movie like that comes out, I try and figure out how I can tie it in with school so we can go see the movie together. ;) See? Homeschooling has it's advantages, eh?
Well - I read Ali Edward's "Life Artist" book this week, and wow how it inspired me. I have always felt a tug toward art and anything art related. I love to create - plain and simple. I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, crochet, reading, singing - I am completely right brained. Really - my head should be caved in on one side, because my left brain does NOT get used (I'm horrible at math!!). One of the entries in the book was about your life in a week. I love documenting our lives on earth for my kids to go through and my lineage. One of the excercises is to write down what you are greatful for everyday. I love that kind of positive thinking - so here goes:

1. A coffee today with whip cream!
2. I fit back into my skinny jeans today (after 8 weeks of working out!)
3. Staying home with my kiddos and having a fun day with them (with me not yelling)
4. Vanilla Caramel yankee candle
5. Baby kisses from X man
6. A sunny day where the snow is melting - YAY!
7. Yummy jazz music just downloaded on my ipod - seriously - this is like an instant Zoloft for my blood
8. Cooking while listening to my ipod stereo with a candle lit, drinking a coffee
Let's see - I suppose I can go for 10. . .
9. Two new scrapbook kits just waiting for me to play with them
10. A clean house!

Here are a few scrapbook projects I worked on over the last week:

this one was the most fun - I plan to add my favorites to it all through the year - like my fave stores, the things I purchase, movies, pics - things from travel, etc. If you want to see the whole thing - go to my sistv profile!
Well - for some reason - blogger won't let me add another pic, guess I'll post it later. Grrrrrr
Have a good Wednesday!

Uh Ohhs - looks like I got a little behind in my updates. A busy week this week. Thank goodness for the weekend. We have had so much happen in the course of a few weeks. We have made the heartbreaking decision to move in a different direction where our church is concerned. It is most certainly bittersweet. There is much relief, but heartache as well. Without going into detail, we are going to be looking for a new church. I am looking forward to finding one where we can hopefully settle and our kids can make lifelong friendships. Speaking of the kiddos (good segway, eh?), they had a really fun playdate at the Hindles yesterday. Meg and I had a wonderful time connecting (if you can call yelling above the noise and getting cut-off anytime we tried to speak a sentence connecting). =) Seriously though - I love that girl! She has been a real source of encouragement and we've been through lots together. So looking forward to that celebration next week Hindles!! =) Last night we went out to Casa's with Ryan and Amber (Kyle's nephew and his wife). They had their little guy and we had a babysitter for the girls and brought our little guy. It was so fun watch them interact together! After dinner we went to their house (they live in our addition) and played Rock Band on their xbox pro-it was so much fun!! We all rotated instruments, and I must say I think I might have a little hidden percussion talent! ;)

So - tonight I think will be a family night with the kiddos. Some things that I HAVE to get done:

1. Send in insurance claims so we can get our new couch!!
2. Finish invoicing for Phonechexx so we can have money
3. Pay off bills
4. Get passports for cruise
5. Do laundry
6. Do my Bible study and finish reading my mom's book (For Better or Worse) - found here:http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1595541950/ref=sib_dp_pt#reader-link
7. Oh yes - and scrap!

These are the things tickling my fancy of late:

Saving my pennies for this beauty - a boutique camera bag - I'm getting one in a few weeks-WOOOHOOO!

This just cracks me up. . .

And check out this little pretty - I love her girl clippies - since, ummm I have 3 girlies to use them on! ;)

All of the above found on etsy - one of my favorite sites. I just love handmade goodies. ETA - I can't figure out how to include the links to these pics and I want to give appropriate credit to the artists who made these - if anyone knows how - please let me know!

I leave you with a fun picture of the girls - their Nanny got them these hats, and with all the stinkin' snow we have - they were wonderful purchases!

I don't want to overwhelm with all my photos-so I'll wait 'til later to post my latest scrap creations! ;) TGIF!! Have a good one!
