I had so much fun "dreaming" of what I would put together if $$ was not an issue. . .and it always is, isn't it? ;-P

So our weekend plans inlcude Komet's hockey game tonight for hubs and a few kiddos. The rest of the fam is staying in with me watching movies and hangin' in our pj's trying to get over the flu. I am going to get some more cards made and other craft stuff. That is one nice thing about being trapped at home! Lol. The kids are officially on Spring Break. We usually don't take our vacays during Spring Break, as we like to vacation in October, so hopefully the days are nice and warm so the kids can play outside. Trying to think of other activities to do with them besides go to Burger King playland. Hehehh. Any ideas??

So. . .we have another bug in the family. A FLU bug! =( Poor little dude woke up not feeling well and didn't keep anything down until this evening. Hopefully it's a 24 hour thing. In the meantime. . .since he slept all day. . .I crafted! Here is what I worked on today. . .


I also had a just enough time to pump out a lo too!

Daddy took the girls to a "Daddy/daughter" night with their GEMS group (it's like girl scouts). They had a dinner and an Amazing Race scavenger hunt. I'll look forward to hearing all about it very soon. Hope everyone is having a wonderful evening and staying healthy!! =)

We've had a weekend of celebrations! We just returned from a trip to Michigan to celebrate my sweet niece's 5th bday. Happy Bday A!! =) Just my mom and I went with the girls. We had a lot of fun, beginning with eating out at our fave Mexican restaurant on the way out of town, and eating Pizza King pizza that evening and grabbing a Starbucks too. What a fattening day! Ugh! It was so yumm though. Haha. On the way to Michigan, I gave two of my girls dramamine because they get carsick. Thankfully it causes "marked drowsiness" so I knew the girls would be out instead of fighting and pestering each other during the trip there. It worked!
Haha!!

It was a great visit and the girls have so much fun with their cousins. Kyle stayed home with X and had a "guys" weekend. They watched the March Madness tourney together fri. night, and on Sat. got their haircut together at Big League Barber. They played games at Laser X and had a poker night at another guys house while watching more basketball! Little X was tuckered out from his fun day with daddy when I picked him up! I missed him so much!

My mom started a sweet tradition. . .when each granddaughter turns 5, they get an American girl doll for their birthday!


Today is my mom and dad's 34th anniversary - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!! We love you! =)

They are enjoying this beautiful spring day at a state park that has some fun trails. Tomorrow is Kyle's birthday, so that means I'll have to get up to make him breakfast. ;-) It also means we'll get to eat out tomorrow night. Yay! So that's the weekend update! It's gorgeous out, so we're going to have some family time and I'll be crafting today too. I'll post some lo's in a bit! Have a wonderful weekend!! =)

Things that are making me happy today. . .

Okay so this weekend has been pretty crappy. . .I have an upper respiratory infection that has left me with a bleeding throat. YES you read that right! A bleeding throat. It began with a sinus infection and then spread to my ears and on Saturday, my throat felt like it was on fire. I haven't been able to eat solids since Saturday. So, I have been sending hubby out for shakes (my faves are Jamocha from Arby's and Steak-n-Shake's thick shakes with whip cream. . .mmmmm!). Tonight we changed it up a little - an m&m McFlurry. Completely UNhealthy, and I am so ready for solids, but my poor throat cannot handle it yet. So my silver lining? My sweet man picked up my antibiotics, he took the girls to school today so I could sleep in, I have a reason to stay in and rest (something I haven't been able to do lately!), and the following things have just made me smile today:

I won my first challenge!!! On The Creative Type blog my entry won and I'm so stoked! =) Of course there were so many fab entries and I felt honored to be among them. Amy Tangerine is one of my scrapbook crushes. I love her detailed stitching on her pages and all her colorful embellies. I won these rad buttons from this etsy site!

I took the pics last spring in my flower bed. The red flower is an unusual flower that I have no idea where it came from, but just showed up in my garden this year! What a lovely surprise. The squirrels in our area are always replanting things and sometimes I'll find a crop of blackeyed susans where I didn't plant them. =)

Fun Finds

So I found this fun new site that I have been playing with and if you love polaroids like me. . .you will love this! You actually have to wait on the film to develop! Hehehh. I've been working on some things and am excited to upload, but I entered them into a contest so I can't upload them until the contest is over. Here is a card I made this week though. . .

I had fun sewing all over it. . .but note to self. . .remember next time to open the card before sewing on it - I sewed it shut! Heehee! I have a slight love affair with butterflies. As soon as warm weather hits - I use my butterfly punch on as many projects as I can! =)

These are the things that inspire me and make me happy this week. . .I just love finding new artists on etsy. Some of these have been in my faves for awhile. . .just waiting for some $$ to buy. =)

This is gonna be a quickie since I am watching the Bachelor after the final rose show (a whooooole 'nother topic!) . Today I got so much accomplished as far as scrapping goes. . .my house is neglected and my kiddos went without food (not really) and I have a seriously high pile of laundry-clean, but piled high. I can't wait to post what I worked on, but I didn't finish until tonight and the lighting is too bad to take a pic. I have to post this super funny video. . .if it doesn't make you laugh - then seek counseling. You may have issues. ;-P *Pay close attention to the man in the car* Hehheh.
