Woot woot!

I am so thrilled to share some news with you that I found out last night. . .
I am on the design team for Craisy Daisy Kits! Yayyyyy! I screamed and ran downstairs and told my husband (who nearly had a heart attack and of course I had to hug him just as he was taking a drink which went down the wrong pipe). He was happy for me though. =) Since I am sick, I had quite the coughing fit afterwards too. Heh heh. . .but I am beaming from the news. My fave part? They have a mini book with each kit. I LOVE minis! So I am very anxious for the March kit. Hurry up March. . .and warm weather and sunshine too. . .and while we're at it NO more snow! ;-)

What a week we've had (what a couple weeks!). Over the weekend, my husband along with my brother and his wife went to Zion (right outside of Chicago) to surprise my mom. She is still at the cancer treatment center and progressing wonderfully. We had a wonderful time with laughs and stayed at a family friend's house who lives nearby. She made our stay very much like a bed and breakfast. She had lots of yummy food for us and was so hospitable! This is what we found on our beds when we arrived. . .

Wouldn't you feel so pampered? =)
Here is a card I left her

Mom has had some tough days. Yesterday she had her head shaved, but she did get a hot new wig and she looks gorgeous in it! I am so anxious for her to come home. We see each other every day normally, so this has been tough to be apart like this. Thank goodness for skype!

In the meantime, my whole family is sick. . .again!! This has been the worst winter with sickness for us all. My daughter has a double ear infection and I have sinusitis. I have asthma, so basically I do breathing treatments all day and lay around locked in my room with the kiddos watching dvd's. So since I have been laid up in bed for a few days. . .I have had some time to do some online "window" shopping. Wanna see what I found?
I love the ruffles and the "flowiness" of the fabric on this one. . .

I love the cinched waist and teal is my fave color. . .

This one. . .swoooon! Love the vintageness

Of course I'd need some chic cropped pants as a summer staple. . .

and who am I kidding, I LIVE in sweats, so I'd have to have these purty ones for when someone comes a callin'

All from the lovely Anthro. Cute right? That was just one place. . .I was all over, but I'll spare you. =)

Congrats on the design team! That's awesome! I tried on the grey ruffle shirt at Anthro the other day. Super cute, but there is something I just couldn't figure out going on with it at the top of the shoulders. You'll have to try it on and let me know what you think. I love the teal one too. I just bought a ton of teal stuff for family pictures we're having done. I can't wait! Teal mixed with yellow is my new color combo :0) Ok, that's enough Anthro talk. I could go on forever, happy to hear your mom is kicking cancer bootie! You'll have her back in no time!

Hey.. Yes, T is in pre-school. The only curriculum I use is the Zoo-Phonics program, cause that's what the school he will go to Kindergarten at uses, and what his old pre-school used. The closest pre-school that's any good is about a half hour away, and he went for one year, and my older son went there too, but I had helped in his class, and figured, I could do it. We usually focus one week at a time on a letter in the alphabet. We bake, do crafts, write, and read stories. It's pretty light and fun, I mainly focus on the alphabet and writing his name, recognizing letters and numbers. Just the basics. And, I love it, especially since he is the second child. Nice to have that time with him. The internet is an awesome place for finding ideas, there's a couple sites on my sidebar, where i've found some great things to do with him. I'm always looking for ideas too. Every time I find something fun, I will save it to my photos, so I have a file of goodies. What do you use? We have an Anthro about an hour away from me, but it's where my sister in law lives, so I drive down there a lot. I used to go to the one in San Francisco, which is about 3 hours away, so I was excited when they put one in closer, about a year ago. That top has a tie that you hold the ruffles up around your neck with. The only thing is, the ruffles sit kind of weird because of this. Your tying a huge strand of ruffles around your neck, and I just couldn't find a way to make it not look like Cruella Deville! Ok, i'm going to bed, I just cried my eyes out watching The Time Travelers Wife, and now i'm tired. :0)
